I don't leave too long a gap in between coats as it can start to clump up a little, if I go back for another coat later on I use the longer bristled side of the wand to apply as this produces less clumps. Oh and by the way, I’ve always been told 3 months for longevity of mascara too, that’s pretty neat that this one is longer! Fab post sweetie, I actually prefer the look of the Maybelline mascara on your eyes :) I really want to pick the Maybelline was up but having to wait until I use one up first - one in one out scheme as I have too many hehe.It's supposed to help curl straight lashes but where my lashes are naturally curly anyway I haven't noticed a huge difference in this. I think the only thing I wouldn't like about the maybelline one is that it's a little bit bigger (I really like the fact the roller lash is so thin) but I could probably work with it! I’ve loved They’re Real since it came out and have since gone through 2 full sized tubes of it and 2 mini tubes, so I decided to try this out to see how it compares.

I bought this myself last week on the day it launched (the thirst is real, yo…lol) and I knew I was going to like it when I saw the brush. I would highly recommend this to anyone with short or straight lashes because it makes such a huge difference. As you apply Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, you feel a gentle tug as it visibly lifts the lashes – it’s quite fun to watch up close! I found this quite a hard photo to take and it doesn’t really do the curl justice, but I think it gives you a good idea.

I understand the bristles are meant to hug and roll each lash to provide long lasting lift, curl and definition. I wore this mascara on several occasions, thinking the smudges were just a one time thing, but it smudged EVERY time; so annoying and the clumping was awful. My lashes are naturally curved upwards slightly, instead of stubbornly-downward-pointing-straight lashes like most Asians. The purpose behind the wand is that it grabs, lifts, separates, curls, boosts, amps up, you get the idea – every single lash. Being a natural redhead myself I have quite fair lashes, so it’s important for me to get right down to the base when applying mascara, which Roller Lash does perfectly. I will try to continue to be active, whenever I am feeling well enough to function like a normal human being.Which makes me feel even better about my purchase (since I've been trying to transition to ethical products as of late). Best mascara Recently switched from the classic They're Real to the Roller Lash mainly because of the extra goodness in the liquid of the mascara + brush shape. As you can see from my before and after photos, there is a lot of difference, my lashes are invisible without mascara, I don’t have many lashes, they are thin and short, so while my after picture is never going to be amazing compared to other girls, it certainly makes a lot of difference to me and really opens my eyes up. I will admit that my lashes are naturally slightly curled, but even so I definitely won’t need to use my eyelash curler anymore when using this mascara. The wands are very similar; the Benefit wand is a little thinner but I didn't find applying one or the other any more difficult to work with.
