This item has had a few uses but still has plenty of tread left in them, some dirt still on the tyres but is still in excellent condition. I've had 3 versions of the Original over the years, the middle one was best, with Kevlar and a good compromise between weight, rolling, ruggedness and puncture proof. I think it was the HS308 or something like that. It is still available, but all must be pretty old by now as they havn't been made for a few years. As expected, rolling resistance of the Marathon Plus is higher than the plain Marathon. Depending on air pressure, you're giving up 4 - 6 watts of power per tire (20%). This isn't all that much given the 2 mm of extra puncture protection the Plus provides. I think it comes down to personal preference whether you like the lower rolling resistance or the higher puncture protection. E-bike ready: Special tyres are necessary for fast E-bikes.
