In there somewhere, however, is also a handy switch symbol that lets you split off from any station on your current line to the symbol shown on the next flipped card. For the simple reason that I feel like I have more control in Next Station – London and I am not as hindered by the luck of the cards. When the 5th Underground card (pink and yellow background) is flipped, it signals the end of this round. How to Play In Next Station London, you’re a Controller in charge of redesigning a 4 line underground system in London. In each corner, there is also a super small 1×1 region that is separate from the larger corner region.

Players draw a straight line from either end of their current line to a connected station that has the corresponding symbol. Well, then you’ll need to hope for a wild if you want to reach that circle tourist site—don’t forget!Like the art design of Zoom in Barcelona—another Blue Orange production—I love the look and clean lines of the cover art on the Next Station: London box. Then, find the district where your line passed through the most stations and count the number of stations it touched there. As well as playing base game, there are two mini advanced modules that can be picked and mixed into the gameplay.

Multiply the number of districts you’ve connected to times the largest number of stations you’ve connected to in a single district. If you cannot reach a matching station from either end of your line, then you skip drawing that turn; you may also choose to skip drawing a line if you don’t like where it would go. You get a real sense of pride watching your increasingly colourful creation growing on the notepad in front of you. Players may draw a new section starting from ANY station on their line connecting to a station with the revealed symbol.

The other aspect of Next Station – London that I appreciate is that you can simplify the game play to accommodate younger players and allow for them to be competitive. Score as many points as you can by optimsing the routes of the four underground lines on your map in London.

Your actions are simple: starting from your current pencil color station, and viewing the action’s current card shape (circle, square, triangle, or pentagon, aligning with the station shapes on each player’s sheet), players must draw a single line along the gray pre-printed lines from one shape to one matching the currently flipped card.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The 5 station cards show a shape symbol which everyone simultaneously uses to draw a connection from one end of their existing line – the first turn will be from the “departure station” matching your pencil colour.I don’t mind the solitaire aspect, but for many gamers, this will be a feature (or bug) to make note of. The downside is that this one is truly simultaneous solitaire – there is no interaction at all between players other than handing them a new color of pencil. Each of these is worth 10 points if you achieve the objective by the end of the game using a combination of your four Underground lines. Note that a round only lasts as long as it takes to flip over the 5 station cards so there could be anywhere from 5 to 10 turns. Everything is done very professionally with this company and always lets you know every step of the process.
