About this deal
In his native Italy, Einaudi is held up as an art-house composer, while in the UK his music is regarded as being ‘classical crossover’.
As the piece continues to be popular and remain timeless, it is clear it will be around for many years to come. One last comment: Einaudi has released most of the sheet music for his work, and it ranges in difficulty from fairly easy to quite advanced. But, whatever your personal views on the contemporary Italian composer’s piano music, there’s no doubt that he has a unique ability to reach a large audience with his brand of laid-back, repetitive tunes. The inside of the CD booklet reads "If it were a story it would be set on the seafront of a long beach. Its structure is very simple but powerful, contrasting lyrical motifs against one another to create an effect of tension and movement.Sein Vater Giulio gründete 1933 das Verlagshaus Einaudi, das noch heute eines des größten Italiens ist.
When Notte from Ludovico Einaudi’s album “Stanze” was broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s Mixing It last year it elicited the greatest listener response in the programme’s ten-year history. Its unique combination of classical and modern harmonies, use of rubato, and mesmerizing effects make it a must hear for both fans of classical music and solo piano. The idea was that the music flowed and was developing by itself, from the opening arpeggio, like when you see a wave developing in its space, it's developing because it has to. If your already familiar with his other work and like it then this won't disappoint, if however your not then this is a very good place to start.
Not normally into listening to piano tracks, more of a violin person but heard this on classic fm and had to get it immediately. Y la repetición de las frases marca el vaivén y la sensación de paz sólo se ve turbada cuando llega el momento de darle la vuelta al vinilo. The piece is also notable for its use of rubato, which helps to create a sense of floating and dreamlike quality. Originally I bought Islands by Einaudi, which is one of the most beautiful contemporary classical albums ever; so i decided to get Le Onde to see how it compares.
