The X1 gives a big, open and engulfing sound and recreates the recorded acoustic of a Deutsche Grammophon pressing of Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony surprisingly well, locating all the different parts of the orchestra convincingly. Of course, being a low-cost turntable it doesn’t focus right in on individual soloists as well as some more expensive designs, yet it still delivers an expansive soundstage. Any extended warranties offered by Peter Tyson are free. We do not include any form of insurance terms such as accidental damage or loan equipment cover.
The Pro-Ject DEBUT PRO is one of the most interesting entry-level turntables I've heard in a long time. It has a tonally balanced sound, but at the same time it has "something", that is, it does not kill the emotions contained in the recordings. Both the Project X1 and the Rega Planar 3 are excellent choices if you’re looking for a high-quality turntable, whether it’s a simple upgrade from your old rig or your first turntable ever. The Project X1 is a nicely balanced turntable that offers amazing sound quality that is quite comparable to the Rega Planar 3. The reaction to the new Debut PRO has been overwhelming, but there are a few questions that have been posed by our customers, which we would like to clarify below:

It states, in slightly stilted English, “Today we see many designs which are far away from a correct turntable and everything we know and stand for is just neglected. Price and features dominate over real quality and engineering.” Accessories include 15V DC power supply, a nicely fabricated hinged dustcover, a felt mat and a Pro-Ject “Connect it E” phono cable.
