Zara was absolutely fantastic as Isobel. From that manic, unhinged, bent on revenge but still incredibly vulnerable version of her we meet at the beginning, to to the softer (but no less strong and badass) woman at the end of the story. King is going after the syndicate and he enlists Eleanor to help him since she works in Tobias and Garrets building and has access to him. She agrees and then of course the sex between them starts happening.

But I felt like the relationship between Colt and Mia was just ok, sexually, emotionally, all of that. Just ok. Hunter is no prince in anyone's fairy tale, especially not in Isobel's but for her, he may just be more. He may have messed up and hurt Isobel but he's never not loved her and he's never loved, anyone. No matter what she thinks he's going to put things right. Mia … There were so many times that I wanted to stop reading this book because of her. I feel like she was written to be tough, but honestly, she was tiring AF. She was selfish and didn’t really understand that she couldn’t take on the world by herself.As far as characters go, if you like a MMC that is possessive, makes it clear what he wants from you, and also will protect you at all costs; then Colt is that guy. While he wasn’t sweet per say, his actions let you know he was 100 down for Mia. Gotta love that in a guy.

Her sweet nature was like a beacon for my depraved heart, and I knew going anywhere near her would be her damnation. This book! Wow! This is my first true venture into a Motorcycle Club romance. I'm not usually drawn to them because 1) I feel like it's weird that they call them Old Ladies and 2) I don't like that even some of the husbands cheat with the groupies. However, this book blew me away. Mia was not from that kind of world and was learning everything from scratch just like me. Colt was so honest and open with his feelings for her it made my heart hurt. He was committed to her from the very start. I won’t be posting TW/CW, I feel like this is something you need to go into blind. If you’ve read Twisted City Duet then you have an idea of it but LORD, it’s SPICER, SMUTTY, AND THE EVENTS taken place is to DIE FOR. I am biased though bc Ria is my MAIN 🥰😍🥺

I don't think anyone could have done Isobel any better than Ms. Hampton-Brown. She was an absolute delight to listen to. I could feel every emotion that Isobel did. She played broken Isobel so well that my heart was broken and vengeful Isobel made me grin with her sass.

Eleanor is scared, something is going on, her best friend has disappeared and her boyfriend who is also her boss's son assures her that she is fine but Eleanor can't help but feel he's lying. The problem is everyone she talks to tells her to let it go. She never thought much about her boss and his son but some things are just not adding up. Humor radiated off of him and it was nearly my undoing. Surly Colt made me want to keep my distance. Happy, smiley Colt made me want something else entirely.

Like most word problems of this nature, the misuse arose because people don’t know there is a difference, and they don’t bother to research the definitions. In the other hand, one day, Eleanor realizes that her roommate has disappeared and that the authorities weren’t doing shit and so when she tries to take matters in her own hands, Kingston comes into the picture… Mr. Arden as Hunter is absolutely spectacular. If I hadn't gotten hooked by the prologue, the growl in chapter four definitely sealed my fate. This is one of my favorite performances by him this year. His ability to make his voice fit with the character, keep pace, and deliver the emotional impact of what Hunter is, left me wanting more. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention how well he played the side characters, because it was phenomenal.

Hunter had always been the villain in my twisted fairytale, he was never the white Knight, and he only made that clearer the night he betrayed me. I did enjoy the other characters here. The men of the Blue Angels MC and their old ladies really fleshed out this book. I enjoyed how they accepted Mia into their lives and they had a lot of funny moments. His lips brushed my forehead, "I love you. Losing you would devastate me. My life has no meaning without you. There. Are you happy?"Isobel’s fairy tale was never a pretty one. She met Hunter years ago when she was abducted and held by men against her will. He became her will to keep living. Until he wasn’t, being betrayed by him. For years she’s been planning her revenge, she is hellbent on getting even with him and ending him. She isn’t the same girl she was when she was taken all those years ago. Hunter has known where Isobel is every moment of every day since he walked away from her. They thought they broke and caged him and used her to do it. They had no idea who they were messing with. For three years he's put his plans into action and now Isobel is his again he'll never let her go. He will just have to show her how much she means to him and how together they will end her tormentors forever. He has loved her since the first day he saw her and he'll die loving only her. Shelly shook her head, her honey blond ponytail sweeping her shoulder. "No, you just kissed a Blue Angel." Except, for Hunter, he wasn't willing to accept anything less than complete, and utter possession of me.
